The German organisation VOI has published a very helpful paper with many aspects around managing business documents in an electronic way. The scope is:
“The competence center for “Steuern und Recht” (tax and law) of the German trade association for document management industry (Verband Organisations- und Informationssysteme e.V. – voice of information – VOI) has initiated this publication setting out the main legal aspects for document management in European countries .
The publication is designed to offer simple and short descriptions of the legal requirements which have to be observed in major European countries when documents are stored electronically for long term archiving purposes. It aims to provide support and offer valuable information to software vendors, consultants and end users acting on a Europe-wide basis.”
The information is given for the contries Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and United Kingdom. The text is written in the foraign language and translated into English as well.

And: SAPERION is designed to be compliant to all of these legeal requirements. KPMG has certified SAPERION to be conform to the German GoBS requirements, which are mentioned in this paper and which are similar to corresponding other national regulations. But to be realy conform to any regulation the complete implementation on basis of SAPERION including other systems and all the accompanying human processes written down in a documentation has to be evualated and certified by an authorized auditor!
