I am pleased to relate that SAPERION’s interface products for connecting to SAP were successfully certified in late September. Since testing is performed “only” every three years, I once again had the pleasure of accompanying the SAP certification process.

During this round we recertified SAPERION ECM R/Link for SAP® for the SAP ArchiveLink interface. The connection to SAP ILM through WebDAV in the context of our new product SAPERION ECM Data Archiving for SAP ILM was certified for the first time.

Certification for ArchiveLink (precise SAP designation is BC-AL 6.20 ArchiveLink for Archiving Systems) was almost routine. The procedure had not changed, so we knew ahead of time what to expect and how the testing would proceed. Bottom line: we wrapped up pretty quickly.

Ende September wurden unsere SAPERION Schnittstellenprodukte zur Anbindung an SAP erfolgreich zertifiziert. Da die Testierung „nur“ alle drei Jahre durchgeführt werden muss, hatte ich endlich wieder das Vergnügen unsere SAP Zertifizierung zu begleiten.

Im Rahmen der Testierung haben wir den SAPERION ECM R/Link for SAP® für die SAP ArchiveLink Schnittstelle erneut zertifiziert, und erstmals die Anbindung an SAP ILM über WebDAV im Kontext unseres neuen Produkts SAPERION ECM Data Archiving for SAP ILM.

Bei der ArchiveLink Zertifizierung, deren genaue SAP-Bezeichnung BC-AL 6.20 ArchiveLink for Archiving Systems lautet, trat schon so was wie Routine ein. Der Ablauf hat sich nicht verändert, so wussten wir schon Bescheid, was auf uns zukommt und wie sich der Prozess darstellt. Sprich wir waren auch sehr schnell durch.

I’m pleased to announce that SAPERION AG has passed all criteria of the ISO 9001:2008 standard on the 14th of November 2011. This project to implementing a quality management system has been managed at record speed within six months only. This is an impressing result for everyone who has been involved. This shows too how well our departments are collaborating.

For us as a vendor of BPM software it is a good story having just in cold print that our own processes are transparent and efficient.  And for sure we are looking forward to continuously improving our processes and goals living a high quality management system.

Zwar wird das in Deutschland geborene und entwickelte Thema Geschäftsprozessmanagement = BPM ( Horst Ellringmann) schon seit Mitte des letzten Jahrhunderts bewegt, doch weit und breit war keine Organisation zu sehen, der man die Definitionshoheit zurechnen konnte. Auf der einen Seite gibt es Institutionen wie die Gesellschaft für Organisation, deren Fokus  auf Methoden und Managementdisziplinen liegt. Auf der anderen Seite gibt es eine Reihe von Organisationen, die sich um die Standardisierungen von Technologien kümmern wie die Workflow Management Coalition, die Object Management Group oder die Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (weiterführender Artikel).  Mit der Association of Business Process Management Professionals, kurz ABPMP, und der ihr angegliederten European Association of Business Process Management scheint zum ersten Mal die Definitionshoheit für BPM anerkannt werden zu können. Das Chapter Deutschland wird vertreten durch die Gesellschaft für Organisation, der ich im letzten Monat persönlich beigetreten bin.
